Dan Flow, CEO &amp; Chairman (Flow Companies, Inc.)<\/p>\n<p>My question to you today is &#8220;Do you care?&#8221;\u00a0 Do you truly care about:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Your People?<\/li>\n<li>Your Customers?<\/li>\n<li>Your Community?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>As a Sales Manager and or Leader of your company, I want you to take a moment to ask yourself what kind of legacy are you leaving?\u00a0 Are you showing up each and every day to just get by?\u00a0 To just do a job?\u00a0 I hope not.\u00a0 As leaders, we impact every person we engage with (good or bad).<\/p>\n<p>Do you want to be known as a person who truly cares about your people, your customers, and your community?\u00a0 What are you intentionally doing to build up others and keep your promises.\u00a0 One thing we have in life is OUR WORD.\u00a0 Are you keeping your word?\u00a0 Are you pulling the greatness out of your people?\u00a0 Are you asking what you can do to help customers daily in the field?\u00a0 Are you willing to give back?<\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Your People<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Let&#8217;s start with discussing your people.\u00a0 You have been put in your position to help your people create results.\u00a0 This starts at the human element.\u00a0 Your people are just that &#8211; PEOPLE.\u00a0 They are not a number, they are human beings with all the complexities life brings at us.\u00a0 Have you taken the time to notice what your people are doing right?\u00a0 Have you given an ata boy or ata girl about that?\u00a0 We are constantly told to point out what people AREN&#8217;T doing, however we\u00a0are not\u00a0reminded to look for and reinforce what people ARE doing well.\u00a0 So take a moment today to intentionally look for what your people are doing RIGHT and thank them for doing a great job!\u00a0 Ultimately your people want to know if you care about them and their lives.\u00a0 When you show that you care, your people will care more about creating results for you!\u00a0 <em>&#8220;The essence of effective coaching is treating people the way they can be, not the way they are.&#8221;<\/em><\/p>\n<p><!--more--><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>Your Customers<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Now let&#8217;s take a look at your customers.\u00a0 Are you going to be known for caring enough about your customers that you instill excellent customer service?\u00a0 Do you reach out and talk to your current customers personally throughout the year?\u00a0 How about your word?\u00a0 Do you give your word to customers about resolving issues and hold to your word?\u00a0 This is part of your legacy.\u00a0 Be a Man or Woman of your word.\u00a0 Support your people in taking the time to understand your customer&#8217;s\u00a0TRUE\u00a0needs and not take short cuts.\u00a0 By serving your customers at the highest level, you will give your customers an experience that will &#8220;differentiate&#8221; your company.\u00a0 It&#8217;s rare today.\u00a0 Most companies don&#8217;t slow down enough to give the customers an experience that creates larger deals around value and not price.\u00a0 Most customers don&#8217;t feel valued and heard.\u00a0\u00a0These are just some of the reasons why customers don&#8217;t show loyalty the way they used to.\u00a0 So be different.\u00a0 Be BOLD!<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>Your Community<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Last but not least, let&#8217;s talk about your community.\u00a0 I know we all have busy lives with family and work.\u00a0 However, there is a saying &#8220;To whom much is given, much is expected.&#8221;\u00a0 So my question to you in this area, is how are you giving back?\u00a0 Are you giving back?\u00a0 Can you initiate and lead your company to getting involved\u00a0in making a difference in your community?\u00a0\u00a0The more you give back and show that you\u00a0care about your community, the more your community will want to give back to\u00a0you as well.\u00a0 It goes both ways.\u00a0 You also may not\u00a0realize how\u00a0small the world is\u00a0until you see how doing one thing\u00a0can make a ripple effect on an entire neighborhood, community, life, marriage, etc.\u00a0\u00a0What if you help others in need, and one day someone you helped\u00a0becomes a superstar\u00a0at your\u00a0company?\u00a0 Or\u00a0you create an opportunity for a group or individual who ends up impacting our world in a major way?\u00a0 You never\u00a0know.\u00a0 What\u00a0will be your legacy?<\/p>\n<p>Here at <strong>MWI<\/strong> we deeply care about people, customers and community.\u00a0 We encourage you to take a serious look at\u00a0all three\u00a0of these areas\u00a0in your life and in your business.\u00a0 We\u00a0incorporate tools, resources, and skill development in our Total Transformation programs.\u00a0 If you would like more info on any of our programs, you can contact <strong>Melissa Whitaker<\/strong> at <strong>info@melissawhitakerintl<\/strong>.com or call us at <strong>847.845.4922.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>&#8220;Leadership flows out of what we do and who we are.&#8221;\u00a0 &#8211;
